We’ve been waiting for Tale of Tales for a while now. A lavish fantasy horror based on a set of 17th Century Italian fairy tales, its premise alone is worthy of attention. Add to that the fact that it won glowing reviews at last year’s Cannes Film Festival and the deal is sealed. From director of brutal mafia flick Gomorrah Matteo Garrone, this isn’t one for the faint-hearted. The trailer alone boasts Game of Thrones levels of extravagance and chaos.

It’s scheduled for release on June 17 but the Curzon Soho premiere is on June 1. Book now for the screening which is followed by a Q&A with an all-star trio of actors Salma Hayek, Toby Jones and Shirley Henderson.

  • Xu

Xu has it all. It looks good enough to eat, the menu is thrilling and they're to be applauded for bringing proper Taiwanese dining to London. The service is beautifully judged and well informed. The only challenge may be getting a reservation, as almost all the critics love it.

Set in a three-tiered, Grade II-listed pub dating back to 1739, The Blue Posts has a members’ club-meets-traditional-boozer vibe, appealing to those who want to belong to the Soho House set but can’t afford, or don’t fancy paying, the membership fees. The Blue Posts isn’t actually private, but feels it.
