Best live theatre screened in cinemas

By Ella Kemp on 9/7/2019

The London theatre scene is one to be envied on a national and international scale – so much so that it can sometimes be near impossible to find a ticket.

Bringing highly acclaimed shows from the stage to the screen regains a sense of comfort, as you can choose your regular moviegoing venue and rest assured that the artistic direction of the transmission will always give you the best view in the house.

Ticket prices are normalised, making it easier to join in without costing a fortune. While it may be slightly steeper than a standard cinema ticket, live theatre in cinemas often costs a fraction of the original theatre ticket price.

Finding a night out to satisfy culture vultures of all ages can prove difficult, when teenagers might want a movie night instead of a commitment to a larger scale stage show. With theatre in cinemas, it's easier to tick boxes for the whole family – compromising on the medium but not the message, finding joy in art for everyone.
