In the South Gallery of King's Cross' new House of Illustration, Hattie Stewart presents new works which combine her slick advertising images with biting satire. Stewart is the first in a series of exhibitions in the north London museum from contemporary illustrators alongside heavyweights like Quentin Blake and Mac Conner.
Who is the illustrator Hattie Stewart?
The 'professional doodler' - as she refers to herself - has a fun and quirky style that overturns the values of celebrity culture and pushes the buttons of public identities. She has drawn attention recently for her doodle bombs of transformed Vogue and i:D magazine covers, featuring pop star FKA Twigs, Rihanna and more. Stewart has also earned her stripes in the Fashion world, with collaborations with designers like House of Holland, Marc Jacobs and Adidas. High and low end, Stewart has put her mark on playboys, shop-fronts and call-girl cards.
Don't miss the bold swagger of Hattie Stewart in her vibrant new exhibition at House of Illustration.
