An intensely creative painter, poet, performer and musician, Henri is difficult to categorise. Principally we know him as a key figure in the ‘happenings movement’ in Britain during the 1960s and ‘70s, which placed performance art at the centre of their activities. This exhibition at the ICA focuses on Henri’s contributions to this crucial improvisatory movement in 20th century art history.
