David Bowie: Fame, Fashion, Photography

Following David Bowie's death, the beloved Starman is being honoured by a new David Bowie pop-up photography exhibition

David Bowie: Fame, Fashion and Photography
It's only been a few months since David Bowie's sudden death from cancer, and the world is still mourning this iconic rock star and the influence he had over music, fashion and sexuality.

His career spanned more than half a century, and in honour of his extraordinary career, a new temporary exhibition is opening in a pop-up gallery on Heddon Street, curated by the team behind the V&A's five star David Bowie exhibition in 2013.

This exhibition boasts a unique collection of images from three British photographers who worked closely with David Bowie, from the private archives of photographers Chalkie Davies, Tony McGee and Denis O'Regan. Many of which have never been exhibited before and have to been seen outside of the photographers' studios.

This free-entry exhibition, supported by Regent Street, takes place on the street where David Bowie was photographed for the cover of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars, released in June 1972.

There will also be a silent auction to raise money for Cancer Research UK on framed images, signed by the photographers. Bidding opens at 6:30pm on June 6th and ends at 6:30pm on June 19th. Click here to take part in the silent auction.
