Jack Whitehall stars in a new comedy on Sky One as an impoverished antiques dealer who enters a gangster war

Bounty Hunters, Sky One
It's been a good year for British comedian Jack Whitehall. In the past few months, the self-styled 'posh' boy had a Netflix stand-up comedy show and (also on Netflix) a series in which he and his curmudgeonly father go to Cambodia and Thailand. He has gone from strength to strength since he first became a household name in Fresh Meat.

Now on Sky One, Whitehall's latest comedy Bounty Hunters arrives. It follows Barnaby (Whitehall), a book-smart Brit living in New York City who takes it upon himself to save the family's cash-strapped business when his antiques dealer father winds up in hospital. Cue rather embarrassing British/American culture clash: 'if you're going to give me directions, do so in the Queen's English.'

Naturally, things go wrong. A dodgy deal organised by Barnaby's father leaves him £50,000 down and in possession of some troubling looted treasure. Fortunately there are some tough New Yorkers on hand to help him out, as they team up to get his money back.

Barnaby's quiet life soon spirals further out of control, when they're forced into the paths of the police, terrorists and a dangerous Mexican drug cartel.

The jury is still out Bounty Hunters, but given Whitehall's trajectory, we're expecting to see some good jokes... Although they'll probably be about how posh Whitehall is.
