Winter Lights, Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf will be transformed into a bonanza of art and light for the sixth Winter Lights show

Winter Lights Festival, Canary Wharf
We all dread that time of year when we have to take down our twinkly decorations and store them away for another year. But we've got the perfect pick-me-up for those post-Christmas blues; Canary Wharf's starry Winter Lights festival is returning for its sixth year to set the business district aglow with 25 spectacular installations designed by leading international light artists.

Previous walking routes have taken visitors through neon forests, luminous mazes, a waterfall of words and installations lighting up the area's fountains and buildings. The programme this year has yet to be announced, but will see the return of previous works as well as newly commissioned pieces including neon artwork ‘Mi-e dor de tine’, which translates as 'I miss you’ in Romanian which will be installed as a preview of the festival as early as November. There's no reason why your days can't keep being merry and bright well into January.
