La Clique, Leicester Square Spiegeltent

Award-winning cabaret-variety group La Clique is back in London with a spectacular new show. Featuring old favourites as well as new acts, a host of incredible performers display their talents at the Leicester Square Spiegeltent.

La Clique showcases a troupe of extraordinary circus, cabaret, and sideshow performers, from a juggler of champagne flutes to a fire breather and sword swallower, and transports its audience to a weird and wonderful other world that will have you laughing, gasping, and questioning the limits of what you thought the human body was capable of.

Dancers, gymnasts and contortionists present their astonishing choreography. Aerialists Zoe Marshall and Lydia Norman twist their bodies into all manner of shapes and swing from ropes, hoops and poles. Cabaret sensation David Pereira demonstrates his own gymnastic routine involving a shopping trolley and shaving cream. Acrobat Jamie Swan revives the 'bath boy,' dipping in and out of the water in this classic La Clique routine.



Proceedings for the evening’s entertainment are in the capable hands of songstress Virginia Gay, a cabaret diva known for her singing voice, while the live ensemble La Clique Palace Orkestra provide a jazzy soundtrack that keeps the show running smoothly. What's more, La Clique founder David Bates joins the troupe on stage for the first time as the pianist of the new ensemble.

Since its beginnings as a variety show, premiering at the Famous Spiegeltent at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2004, La Clique has continued to innovate and grow into a pioneering troupe of travelling performers, incorporating all kinds of new cabaret, comedy and circus acts, touring all over the world and spawning hundreds of imitations. But 'La Clique remains the original and the best.
