London's best Champagne bars to be seen at this summer

Toast the sunshine at London's best Champagne pop-up bars to be seen at this summer

London has a collection of unmissable Champagne bar pop-ups this summer
Hot on the heels of Champagne house Tattinger planting their first vines in Kent, we've become inspired by the boom of English vineyards producing Champagne, and decided to celebrate the best of Champagne in the capital this summer.

From royal-inspired sups to bubbles on ice, and Champagne to pair with crab sandwiches, here's the 9 London Champagne bars to be seen at this summer.

Don't buy into bubbles? Here's our list of all the other pop-ups worth booking this summer.
Champagne Crab Shack at 100 Wardour Street

Flagship Soho restaurant 100 Wardour Street once played host to some of the biggest bands, like The Rolling Stones. Maintaining that heritage, there's still live music six nights a week. However, its recent reinvention into a luxurious restaurant and bar is the work of restaurant giants D&D London. Until the end of June, the restaurant is pairing CLAW crab burgers and buns, and an assortment of fish-influenced sides, with Moët & Chandon, served over ice. A range of Champagne cocktails is available too.

Open now until the end of June at 100 Wardour Street, Soho, W1F. Mon - Fri: Noon - late, Sat: 11am - late. More information
Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial at The Hampshire Lounge Bar

The Ice Imperial, which Moët & Chandon are pushing this summer, (it's also served at Bluebird, below and 100 Wardour Street, above) is paired not with crab buns, but with afternoon tea at Leicester Square's Hampshire Lounge Bar this summer. Exclusive treats include fresh chocolate and vanilla scones infused with Champagne, and almond macarons with a Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial ganache.

Open now until July 9th at Hampshire Lounge Bar, 31 - 36 Leicester Square, WC2H 7LH. Mon - Sun: Noon - 11.00pm. More information
Fiz at Lights of Soho

Although technically not Champagne, this sparkling wine pop-up at popular Soho bar and gallery Lights of Soho is well worth your time. It's inspired by the cava bars woven into the backstreets of Barcelona, so it has more of a relaxed feel than the luxury bars on this list. And rather than sell you whole bottles, Fiz offers a sparkling wine list of 8 - 10 wines by the glass, from all over the world (including England), because the trio behind the pop-up think tasting different wines is more important than just buying a bottle. Sharing plates of comfort food - shareable bites and buns - will accompany the fizz.

Opening June 20th - late August at Lights of Soho, 35 Brewer Street, W1F 0RX. Mon: 6.00pm - 11.30pm, Tues - Thurs: 10.00am - 11.30pm, Fri & Sat: 10am - midnight, Sun: Noon - 4.00pm. More information
Laurent Perrier at SKYLIGHT

London's newest rooftop bar, SKYLIGHT at Tobacco Dock, is doing things differently. The theme is English country garden, and taking things a step further than the crazy golf courses that have been popular on rooftops, guests can book croquet courts with a spectacular view across London. The three-storey garden pop-up also has a good range of street food, and a Laurent Perrier bar if you're inspired by the garden theme and fancy topping things off with a quintessentially fabulous sup in the sun. We hear a Champagne flute before the croquet calms the nerves.

Open now until late September, Pennington St. Car Park Entrance, Wapping, London E1W 2SF, Thurs & Fri: 5.00-pm - 11.00pm, Sat & Sun: Noon - 11.00pm. More information

The Garden of Live Flowers at Sanderson

Perrier-Jouët and the luxurious Sanderson hotel have joined forces to throw a lavish garden party in the hotel's atrium garden. Throughout summer guests are invited to sip premium cuvée under some of London's most lavishly decorated pergolas, rich in flora and fauna. The hotel enlisted floristry expert Kitten Grayson to create a whimsical world of plant life, with an emphasis on vines and hanging plants. Alongside the premium Champagne house's classic serve, they will be premiering their brand new cuvée for 2017 in the mystical garden pop-up.

Moët & Chandon Champagne Truck, Bluebird Chelsea

The Bluebird on King's Road has a garden that is famous for pop-ups. It's a great spot to watch the tennis from, and for summer 2017 the restaurant has partnered with Moët Ice Impérial, to throw new light on Champagne culture. Rather than served straight up in a flute, the drink Moët are promoting here is served with three ice cubes, aka "Champagne on the rocks" to intensify the light and refreshing taste. The serve - from a bespoke Champagne truck standing in the garden - compliments the all-day brunch service the restaurant serve particularly well. The full restaurant menu is also available, and DJs play on ad-hoc weekends.
