Playwright Mike Bartlett brings black comedy to Hampstead Theatre with new play about the dramatic implications of technology

Hampstead Theatre: Wild, by Mike Bartlett
With a growing collection of awards and hits including King Charles III, Bull and Game, playwright Mike Bartlett has a knack for capturing a distinctly 21st century zeitgeist, through both epic State of the Nation satires and taut character pieces.

The world premiere of Bartlett's new play Wild at Hampstead Theatre expands the scrutiny to the disorientating implications of technology and surveillance.

It follows Andrew, who goes from a normal guy in KFC, to America's Most Wanted at the click of a button. Expect biting comedy and a story about the unfathomable power of technology and the modern repercussions of challenging the status quo.

Wild will reunite writer Bartlett with James Macdonald, who directed Olivier-winning play Cock at the Royal Court. Jack Farthing (Poldark, Riot Club) leads a cast including Caoilfhionn Dunne and John Mackay.
