Gingerline: The Secret Island ★★★★

Immersive dining masters have upped their game with this new 'Multidimensional' event, The Secret Island.

What is Gingerline?
The brainchild of Suz Mountfort and Kerry Adamson, Gingerline has had a huge impact on London nightlife, changing the landscape of the Londoner’s dining experience. The pair united over a common love of art, performance, design and food. What emerged was the Gingerline, a top secret dining experience where guests would only be told of the location an hour before it started. Involving top quality food cooked by guest chefs, a host of immersive theatrical and artistic experiences all in locations that ranged from the weird to the wonderful.
Underground immersive dining, London
Having started in 2010, the Gingerline initially asked its guests to wait by any station on the London Overground’s orange coloured line (‘gingerline’). At which point they would receive a text and head to the relevant station.
Their latest adventure, entitled The Secret Island (but that's all they'll tell us) launches on 19 May, with tickets on sale from Monday 20 April.

£50 will secure you a four-course feast, a welcome drink, a menu memento and a ‘full evening of Gingerline mayhem’. But don’t ask too many questions – just rest assured that your night is sure to be as wild as reports of previous experiences attest.
2011 saw the creation of a mad puppeteer’s workshop and submarine mess hall, whilst last year hosted an intriguing underground Victorian banquet. Bookings are currently open for 2015 until June so jump on the Gingerline train to enjoy an extraordinary evening of food and entertainment – there are only a few spaces left in their current run.
Gingerline, London: New Multidimensional concept
This time around there's only one month of ticketed events, as Gingerline experiment with their new concept: 'Multidimensional Dining',  promising that guests will feast in 'not just one parallel reality, but a sequence of contrasting dining dimensions' – we're suitably excited.
The Secret Garden aims to fuse all the trademarks of Gingerline's past events, with fully immersive events happening in total secrecy and  boasting 'all-new twists, turns, shimmies, shakes and some time-travel too.' They're particularly excited about their latest and greatest, claiming that it will be nothing like what Gingerline's loyal foodie followers have experienced before.
The team at Gingerline will be collaborating with an (as yet unnamed) partner on this one, to trial the new concept. If all goes to plan they aim to reopen the event, on a larger scale, later in the year. But if you want to be the first to be wowed, we'd recommend booking tickets soon, as The Secret Island promises to be Gingerline's most ambitious and challenging project to date.
