Summer has arrived, faster than you can say 'G&T'. Who knows how long it will last, though – we'd suggest making the most of it by heading down to Red Market’s latest pop-up, Summer Tales. Hot on the heels of its wintry cousin, the team behind Night Tales' roaring success over the colder months last year, have decided to heat things up for the summer months.
Picture yourself lazing in a hammock on a sun deck, with cocktail in hand and some sumptuous grub in the other. Sound good? That’s what Summer Tales is offering, with food on offer from a range of pop-up favourites. Pizza Pilgrims are back, and this time on two levels, alongside Burger & Lobster, who are showcasing their new 'Baby Burger'. Guests can also try cheese toasties with Monty & Bob, or you're invited to indulge in Forza Win’s take on the Happy Meal – don't be put off, Forza Win have been building a reputation on the foodie scene for their innovative street food offerings.
Don't expect to be disappointed on the drinks front, either. As well as cocktails with a kinky twist—names like Pin Up Collada, Mescal Mule and Screw The Driver conjuring up nights of sunny debauchery—you can get your hands on frozen rum punch and, for the health freaks among us, fresh-pressed juice and coconut water.
Meanwhile, there will be adventure trails taking guests on an elevated tour round the site, and a central dance floor for the rhythmically gifted to flaunt their moves: music this time includes the likes of Rudimental, Gorgon City and Kidnap Kid.
Summer Tales launches on the second bank holiday weekend in May, following which they'll be jazzing up the Shoreditch scene every weekend throughout summer. There’s an entry fee of £4 until 9pm, after which it gets bumped up to £5. You can buy tickets online, and also book out private cabana rooms or even the exciting Tree House option if you feel like splashing out.
We're keen to see if Night Tales' summer offshoot will be as big a hit as the winter original: at any rate, the Summer Tales opening offers a valid excuse to head East and indulge away your weekend in the sunshine.
Shoreditch, here we come.

Radio Alice serves the best sourdough pizza we’ve ever tasted. They foreground a traditional cooking practice from Bologna, which sees the base cooked first, crispy on the outside and doughy but light, with the majority of the toppings added afterwards. The result is simply divine.
