Philip Ridley’s 2007 play Leaves of Glass receives its first major revival at the Park Theatre this spring, 16 years after it ran to critical acclaim at Soho Theatre in a production which starred the now famous Ben Whishaw opposite Maxine Peake.

Leaves of Glass is the second title in what's come to be known as Ridley's east London-set 'Brothers Trilogy', sandwiched between 2005's Mercury Fur and 2008's Piranha Heights. Described by theatre critic Lyn Gardner as 'a crooked fairytale of family life', the four-hander about memory and manipulation follows 'good person' Steven as his personal relationships start to fall apart. He employs his younger brother Barry, a struggling artist, at the graffiti removal company he runs, but for some reason Barry won't even look at him. Elsewhere, Steven's wife is accusing him of being unfaithful and his mother is calling him coercive. As Steven's life shatters around him, who's telling the truth?

Bridgerton's Geraldine Alexander, Kate Buchholz (The Jamie Lloyd Company’s The Seagull), Ned Costello (The Clothes They Stood Up In) and Joseph Potter, who won the OFFIE Award for Best Solo Performer for his performance in Philip Ridley‘s one-man The Poltergeist, star in this revival, which is being directed by Max Harrison with set and costume design by Kit Hinchcliffe and sound design by Sam Glossop.

Catch Leaves of Glass at the Park Theatre before it tours to Guildford and Manchester.
