Nigella Lawson and Yotam Ottolenghi, National Theatre
We know that food is deeply connected to culture, community and identity. It can shape who we are as people and bring back gauzy memories of family, travels and childhood. As part of the National Theatre’s Authors on Stage season, celebrity chefs Nigella Lawson and Yotam Ottolenghi come together to explore food and identity in conversation with author and food writer Bee Wilson.

Throughout her cooking shows and her books, Lawson has often talked about her personal connection with food and reflected on how her grandmother was a guiding influence in the way that she cooks. Plenty author Ottolenghi is also known for weaving his rich tapestry of influences into his cooking, drawing upon the multinational dishes of Jerusalem's cuisine as well as recipes inspired by his Italian and German heritage.

Learn about the memories behind the meals and the stories behind the recipes in a conversation which shows how food extends beyond the plate.
