Naomi Klein: No is Not Enough, Southbank Centre keynote talk
No Is Not Enough insists Naomi Klein's latest book and, in a time when politics is often stranger that fiction and sillier than farce, we are inclined to agree. This summer she comes to the Southbank Centre to deliver a keynote talk to revive our spirit of resistance.

Having interrogated capitalism, democracy and climate change in best-selling books No Logo, The Shock Doctrine and This Changes Everything, Klein is among the world's brightest and most enlightening political commentators. And contemporary American politics have certainly produced all kind of alarming trends worthy of investigation.

Now, in the time of President Trump, Klein turns her analytical skills to the implications of the election and politics of shock in No Is Not Enough. While many looked on in incredulity and horror, Klein explains how the swing towards racism, misogyny and the far right is 'a logical conclusion – a pastiche of pretty much all the worst and most dangerous trends of the past half century'.

In a rare public appearance, Klein reflects on these trends and offers hopeful and practical advice for championing progress in spite of the forces dragging society backwards.
