Jerry Seinfeld is coming to London, Summer 2019
After seven years away, historic comedian Jerry Seinfeld is coming back to play in London this summer. After a stint at the Beacon theatre in New York, Seinfeld is performing four shows on two dates, at the Eventim Apollo on 12 and 13 June.

It's difficult to think of many still-working comedians who have the rich and diverse legacy of Jerry Seinfeld, and one that remains untainted. The Brooklynite has been working and thriving since 1976 – first in open-mic nights, but most memorably in his pivotal self-aware sitcom, Seinfeld, co-created with Curb Your Enthusiasm's Larry David.

The NBC show cultivated a serious and enduring following, which then allowed Seinfeld to reinvigorate his stand-up career after nine years in TV. Since then, his career has been ever-changing and more prolific than ever. From Netflix specials (I'm Telling You for the Last Time is still available to stream) to a major role in his first feature film, as producer, writer and lead voice actor in The Bee Movie, it's impossible to predict what Seinfeld will do next – but it's always fascinating to watch.

Speaking to the New York Times last year, Seinfeld explained the appeal of the job for him: 'The thing about being in comedy is, ‘We hate you, get off the stage’ is what we’re used to. Every comedian has that as part of their life. Getting booed, yelled at, hated. So you almost don’t notice it. You either have the skin for it or you don’t'.

Now's the time to book for the occasion, to see if Seinfeld still has skin in the game. Tickets are on sale now for the 64-year-old's big return.
