The Tale of Kitty-in-Boots, House of Illustration
The House of Illustration will be showcasing drawings from Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Kitty-in-Boots by Quentin Blake in celebration of the release of this special children's book.

Discovered within the V&A archive back in 2015, the unpublished Tale of Kitty-in-Boots will be released this September by Penguin Random House Children's Books to mark the 150th anniversary of Potter's birth. (This exhibition co-insides with the opening of the Beatrix Potter exhibition at the V&A.)

The delightful book will add to a collection of known and loved classics, including The Tale of Peter Rabbit and The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle. It has been said, a handful of characters from these classics will also be making an appearance in the new book.

Quentin Blake, famous for his illustrations for Roald Dahl, was responsible for the beautiful artwork within this new tale. In celebration of the book's release, 50 of the artist's original illustrations inspired by the text will be on show at the House of Illustration.

This delightful exhibition will be on display in the Quentin Blake Gallery, which is currently home to Seven Kinds of Magic. If you can't wait for the new exhibition, head to the House of Illustration before the 24th of August, to get your dose of Quentin Blake now.
