Family Easter Programme at The Place

Babies rule at The Place this Easter with a special interactive performance of Rustle, as part of a plentiful Easter programme for the whole family

There can’t be very many interactive theatre shows around devised especially for 0-2 year-olds… all the more reason, then, to take your very little ones to The Place this Easter for a show which they are sure to enjoy and, what’s more, in which their adult carer is invited to participate as well.

Rustle is an interactive performance led by the Swedish dance collective Räserbyrån. Created some 20 years ago to explore new ways of moving, Räserbyrån has more recently concentrated on developing shows specifically for children.

Focusing on communication and participation, two dancers promise to lead the babies and toddlers on a journey of discovery through a world of paper, where everything can be touched and crumpled. Here's a taster:



This show is part of an extensive Easter programme for the whole family at The Place. It includes workshops, classes and theatre shows for all ages and abilities, as well as an intergenerational ballroom evening with the older members of the family in mind.
