Tapas Brindisa, Battersea Power Station

Battersea Power Station now plays host to top-notch Spanish cuisine from Tapas Brindisa

Tapas Brindisa
If you’re eager to check out Battersea Power Station's long overdue new look, here’s something to keep in mind. The new development harbours a new branch of Tapas Brindisa – you may have seen their chorizo stall in Borough Market, or visited one of their restaurants off London Bridge or South Kensington. The new restaurant, which overlooks the river, marks 30 years since founder Monika Linton first brought the best artisanal Spanish produce to the UK. Together with her husband Rupert, Monika has used her extensive contacts across Spain to snuffle out culinary treats from all across the Iberian peninsula.

Gorge on savoury manchego biscuits and hand-picked Rioja, before moving on to a dish of steaming gambas, hand-cured seasonal cheeses or black rice with crispy squid. New for Brindisa, the restaurant houses an in-house cheese and charcuterie bar, spotlighting hand-picked, seasonal cheeses aged in Brindisa’s cheese rooms in Balham by Monika’s husband Rupert.

If you’re lucky you can also join Tapas Brindisa’s exclusive ‘Home Kitchen’, housed in a smaller back room where chefs serve up their newest creations to small groups of up to 12 guests.
