Tombo Japanese Restaurant: Soho Poké & Matcha Bar

Tombo Soho, a contemprorary Japanese café specialising in poké and matcha will open this May

Tombo Japanese Restaurant: Soho Poké & Matcha Bar
OPENING IN MAY
New restaurant Tombo brings Japanese cuisine to Soho – but with an unusual twist.
Rather than only focusing on more mainstream dishes like sushi, this restaurant serves up poké, a Hawaiian raw-fish dish that sits somewhere between sashimi and ceviche. It will also be offering a range of green teas sourced from the foothills of Mt Fuji, and a number of matcha infused dishes – a clever choice given the popularity of the green tea product (see our in-house recipe for Matcha Bites here).
The original Tombo café has its home in South Kensington and claims the title of "London’s first authentic Japanese café and matcha bar". The South Kensington Tombo interior is clean and modern and we expect something equally minimalist and authentically Japanese from Tombo's Soho opening. The South Kensington Tombo menu also currently offers a unique 'Japanese style afternoon tea' – we're intrigued to know what further treats will be in store on the menu for Soho's offshoot.
More information coming soon.
