Rail House Cafe, Victoria

Fitzrovia's best-loved restaurant has a new younger sibling fit for 330, at Victoria's new dining hub, Nova

Rail House Cafe, Victoria
The Riding House Café is the type of London restaurant locals return to again and again.

Its humble feel, and bustling all-day menus make it suitable for most things from coffee catch ups to drawn out evening meals. The mismatched furniture feels salvaged, just like the ingredients in the fragrant cocktails.

Now the restaurateur and founder Adam White (also of Bermondsey's Village East) is opening a follow-up in the new Victoria food hub, Nova. The key difference is the size - fit for 330 across a massively dynamic ground floor with bar space and restaurant space, there'll also be private dining and a big outdoor bar, with alfresco options for all seasons.

The food will be a typical brasserie-style array, with constantly-changing modern twists and unusual turns, like a lamb tagine for or a chorizo hash, with roasted peppers, kale and fried eggs. To contrast with the building's sheer glass frontage, Rail House Café has been designed with soft interior tones, and lighter materials.
