Best Vietnamese food in London: Soho Vietfood Review
We think we've found one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in London...

The decor at Vietfood is a perfect indication of the vibe here: Western cool meets gorgeous Eastern cuisine. We know we're in Soho by exposed pipes and vents - it's all very 'industrial cool'. But there are touches of Vietnam, too: bird cages, bamboo, lanterns, Vietnamese crockery.

Former Hakassan chef Jeff Tan is in charge, and his streetfood is fantastic. Tan has cooked in Michelin-starred kitchens in the past, and you can tell. While the portions are more diminutive than they would be in downtown Hanoi, the complex flavours are spot on. The traditional summer rolls were fresh as daisy; chilled and perfectly light. We loved the vegetarian curry, and the steaming bolls of Pho smelt so good you had to close your eyes. We wish we'd room for the crispy seafood balls with parmesan mint cheese, and the table next to us had crispy coconut calamari which had them in raptures.

The wine was great, the vibe is cool: we have no complaints. Next time you're in Soho, make a pitstop at Vietfood.
