Fitzrovia restaurant favourite the Wild Game Co. has been shaking up the London dining scene for the last year – now there's a brand new home for the former street food pop-up restaurant. It's called Mac & Wild and is henceforth treating Great Titchfield Street to its delicious organic cuisine.

Already voted one of the top five places to eat wild game in London, Mac & Wild serves only the finest venison, game and seafood direct from a the Scottish Highlands.

Wild Game menu: Venison Restaurant London

It's easy to see why the Wild Game Co. took home the 'Street Food of the Year' gong from 2012's Young British Foodies Awards and their 'Venimoo' scooped up ‘Best Signature Burger’ at the National Burger Awards 2015.

Nibbles of haggis pops with a dip of whiskey jon are mouthwatering and definitely worth an order, along with the battered fish goujons and tartare sauce. Next come the starters – we can't recommend the veggie option of pine mushroom with brown butter and spring onion enough – surprisingly simple and texturally unlike any mushroom dish we've tried.  Starters also include options of venison tartare with a tomato and beetroot glaze, or mackerel with parsley emulsion, cucumber and cider celery, which are just as enticing.

For mains, if you're in the mood to share, you can't do better than the venison chateaubriand, which, served rare, is incredibly succulent and beautifully presented. Opt for the side of 'dirty buttery mash' and slather it in their homemade delicious gravy and you'll be sure to leave absurdly contented.

The food at Mac & Wild is also paired with a high quality array of whiskeys – from straight up malts to whiskey cocktails you're sure to find something here to suit your tastebuds.

In a rustic setting, with butcher’s hooks dripping from the ceiling and stag heads peering from the walls, this is immersive Scottish dining at its finest. Restaurants near Great Titchfield Street, look out – there's a new kid (fawn?) on the block serving up mouthwatering meat – straight from the Scottish Highlands.
