BOOM Burger's Permanent Home

We think we've found the best London burger. Popup BOOM burger has found a permanent home in Portobello.

BOOM Burger's Permanent Home
Nestled under the Westway Flyover in Notting Hill, BOOM Burger offers an authentic slice of Jamaica for the burger enthusiast. Mouth-watering patties infused with a Caribbean twist are served alongside plantain fries or 'Jerk Boom’ chicken, all to the tune of Reggae and Ska music, blasted out from the restaurant speakers.
Josh de Lisser is the mastermind behind BOOM Burger. Initially setting up as a pop-up, his restaurant has now found a permanent home on Portobello Road. De Lisser grew up on the shores of Montego Bay and the influence of the local, explosive, spice combinations is evident in BOOM Burger’s signature dishes.
Bacon Jam and Cheese provide the burger garnish, whilst the weight-conscientious can opt for a shredded jerk chicken salad, with a mango and papaya dressing. Despite the recent explosion of burger joints in the capital, de Lisser’s restaurant stands out with its markedly relaxed atmosphere (customers are surrounded by Reggae vinyl’s and sit close enough to see the chefs work their magic on the griddle) and vibrant Carribean twist. The restaurant urges you to relax and enjoy yourself as the chef cooks up a hurricane in the kitchen.
