Our/Summer, Hackney Downs

Artisanal vodka brand Our / London are throwing parties at their distillery with famous chefs that are free to attend throughout the summer

Our / London
A throng of the capital's best street food names are encouraging Londoners down from rooftops and into the Our / London trailer park this summer.

Adjoined to Hackney Central station, Our / London are artisanal vodka producers with a chameleonic label that changes depending on the city you're in (Our / Berlin, etc). The distillery are throwing "hangouts and takeovers" on Saturday afternoons throughout summer from their base in Hackney Wick, with ping pong tables, guest chefs and a line-up of DJs. And plenty of vodka.

The line-up trounces other food market line-ups in one fell swoop. Early names billed to cook include Robin Gill of The Dairy, and Jack Cashmere from critic's favourite, Anglo. Other names cooking over summer weekends include Seb Meyers of Sager + Wilde, and Zoe Adjonyoh of Zoe's Ghana Kitchen. And Our / Summer are mixing innovative cocktails that change weekly for five pounds each.

There's the full breakdown of weekly events, and which guest chefs are billed for which dates, on Our / London's website.

One of the founders of the brand also does the PR for The Rolling Stones, so there'll be no trouble booking equally weighty DJs for the weekly distillery parties, although no artists have been announced yet. We reckon the vibe will be discreet sets from industry heavyweights, many of whom Our / London partner Neil Chivers probably does the PR for, and many of whom probably live down the road in Hackney anyway.
