L'Antica Pizzeria de Michele restaurant, Stoke Newington
L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele turned heads in Naples in 1870 - and 146 years later they're still making pizza just the same. Still a stronghold in Italy, it is quite a big deal, frankly, that they're opening a new restaurant in east London.

L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele have been called some of the best pizzas in the world - and the London opening is to take inspiration from the Naples original. The margarita and marinara bases will be made authentically by original pizzailoi staff from the Naples bolthole, and a host of toppings will rotate seasonally with a focus on thick-cut root veg, and cured meat.

The Director's son, Marco Condurro, will head up the London branch with a wealth of experience behind him, and will curate the two rotating pizza specials at any one time.

Expect Italian wines and beers to be imported directly from Naples - along with a serious dose of slap-ya-back conviviality.
