Enoteca Da Luca to open their fifth restaurant on Old Street this month

Enoteca Da Luca, Old Street
Enoteca Da Luca is to open its fifth London restaurant on Old Street this month. The restaurant group is inspired by the Italian Enoteca, meaning local wine shop, and each of its locations offers a different take on the concept. We’re excited to find out what they have in store for us at this new opening, the biggest of the five.

Claudio Illuminati, who previously worked at Zafferano, has been appointed head chef and he’s promised a menu featuring fish Carbonara with grated egg and ginger and an orange infused rabbit ragu. The philosophy of the group is ‘piccolo e bello’ so expect a small menu with a focus on the finest ingredients from the best small producers in Italy. To accompany the delicate food, there will be a wine list to fit every occasion and mood.

Enoteca Da Luca Old Street comes complete with an outside terrace, perfect for al fresco dining . The current restaurants offer a mix of rustic and industrial styles, with walls lined with wine bottles. We wonder how this aesthetic will be interpreted in the Old Street opening.
