Café from Crisis is a friendly food haven not far from Spitalfields Market. Their menu sources local ingredients and changes daily, although homemade soups, salads and sandwiches are generally what's on offer.

Not only do they pride themselves on very reasonable prices, but the valuable mission behind their work makes them a choice that is well worth adding to your list of favourite lunch spots. Since they opened in 2004, Café from Crisis have provided work for over 400 homeless people and ex-offenders through their dedicated training programme. Their trainees are mentored by experienced chefs to learn both front of house and kitchen skills .
