Butterscotch Bakery, Shepherd's Bush

New opening: Bea Vo will serve the capital's best cupcakes at this west London bakery, mirroring her successful Bea's of Bloomsbury formula

Butterscotch Bakery, Shepherd's Bush
You may know Bea Vo from Bea's of Bloomsbury, the incredibly successful cupcake cafe the American chef opened in 2008.

Since then Vo has diversified, opening some of London's best American eateries such as Stax Diner in Soho, Camden's Famous Flames and Boondocks, on Old Street. Fans of the elegant, cake-focused cafe she forged her name at will be especially glad to hear of Vo's mission to serve London's best cupcakes.

Butterscotch Bakery opens this summer in Shepherd's Bush, and will be a charming tribute to traditional US-style bakeries. Expect pies, cobblers, triple-decker layer cakes and a new round of her iconic cupcakes, all with modern twists.

This is all we can tell you at the moment – the precise location of the new bakery has yet to be confirmed – but thankfully there is a way to get early access to Bea's new cupcakes.

From 20 March, an online store will open, and Bea will also be previewing her new cakes at Boondocks as a part of its Mother's Day pop-up on Sunday 26 March.
