Little Death Club, Underbelly Festival
Bernie Dieter and her travelling family of misfits – aka. Little Death Club – welcome audiences to what they hope will be the darkest, funniest and most debauched ‘kabarett’ (that’s German for cabaret) this side of Berlin.

Following a successful stint at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the award-winning kabarett star is steaming up the Spiegeltent at the Underbelly Festival on Southbank this April. Expect breathtaking circus and fire-breathing sideshows accompanied by a gin soaked, Weimar-punk jazz band. In Bernie Dieter’s words, ‘this is kabarett at its most inappropriate and provocative.’

Meanwhile, you’ll meet a drag queen draped across the bar, a morose mime drowning his sorrows in a bottle of red, and a bearded lady dancing in the shadows as Bernie sips her gin and surveys the club – aka her prey. After all, with no fourth wall or rules, no seat in the house is safe.
