One of the biggest popular celebrations of Spain in London, Feria de Londres, comes to Wembley Park for a two-day festival over the weekend.

The festival aims to meet public expectations of Spain's southern region of Andalucia, the sun-drenched home of outdoor fairs, or ferias, and, of course, the much-loved flamenco.

Most of the festival, which will spread throughout Wembley Park's ample public areas, will be free to attend, with only one of three main areas offering ticketed events. As you arrive make for the Market Square, where the food and drink traders are concentrated. You'll be hard put to choose between so many scrumptious options: paella, of course, croquetas, jamon ibérico, tortilla de patatas, and for those with a sweet tooth, churros (make sure you dunk them into rich, thick drinking chocolate). For drinks do try Spanish beers, such as the chilled Cerveza Victoria from Málaga.

The Market Square will also offer a free programme of entertainment, mostly live flamenco music and dancing.

The Arena Square will concentrate on interactive entertainment, including dance classes with rumba and Sevillanas workshops, some conducted by the veteran Spanish dancer Emilio Serrano, who will travel to London specially.

The ticketed events will take place in the evening (6 to 11 pm) on the Feria Stage, consisting of a programme of live music from flamenco dancer, singer and rapper Tomasito, singer and guitarist Muchachito, and Barcelona rumba band Rumbakana. Tickets cost £15 (free for under-16s) and can be purchased in advance here.
