Mulberry sample sale, London - get your autumn on with a new leather bag, or a beautiful wallet from Mulberry
Mulberry's sample sale is back for autumn, and it's going to be big. There are six days to enjoy 75% off leather goods, shoes and ready to wear this week - all you need to do is register. The brand has staged a remarkable comeback over the last year under the direction of Seville-born Johnny Coca
In 2014 Mulberry appointed Coca, who was poached from behind the scenes at Celine where he worked under Phoebe Philo. He's made some judicious tweaks to old favourites like the Bayswater bag and brought the Britishness of the brand to the forefront once again.
Mulberry showed its latest collection at Paris Fashion Week - a departure from it's usual London location. What's more, it embargoed a lot of the looks on the catwalk. However, we did get a glimpse at the new bags the Marloes and the Lynton will be Mulberry's It bags for Spring.
What to look out for at the sample sale:
The Amberley bag, named after a Sussex castle and shaped a little like a saddle, has a 'rider's lock' that references the bit on a bridle. The range comes in five styles from slouchy hobo to miniature satchel. It's beautiful and an instant classic. It also appears in the SS18 collection, with the addition of a cutesy ruffled edge.
The Amberley saddlebag went on sale to the general public in summer. We don't know if it will appear in the sample sale but our fingers are crossed. And of course, look out for other lovely leather goodies, like the classic Bayswater and the Alexa and Mulberry's collegiate-themed striped blazers and shirts in the ready-to-wear.
As with the previous sample sale in summer the sale is bound to be busy, so pre-register for your preferred day below.
