Our new favourite shoe designer Lucy Choi invites Culture Whisper readers for an exclusive shopping event at her Connaught Street boutique

Designer Lucy Choi was once best known for being the niece of Jimmy Choo. But after launching her own eponymous brand, she’s synonymous with luxury designer shoes in its own right.
Think the same luxury and craftsmanship that makes Jimmy Choo designs irresistible, but with an edgier aesthetic: flashes of neon, muted snakeskin, fashion-forward straps, and fierce-looking spike heels, all designed for women who actually spend time on their feet.
The designer’s mantra is: comfort, craftsmanship, and character.
And she’s fast becoming known for the kind of shoe that will add spunk to office attire and work just as well with ripped skinnies or with full red carpet formal wear (as seen on celebrities ranging from the Made in Chelsea set to ballerina Darcey Bussel)

Choi’s eye for elegance and obsession with the art of making shoes by hand was piqued at a young age. She honed her skills at the hand of her famous Uncle and mother Sandra Choi, Creative Director of Jimmy Choi.
But, not content with riding the wave of her family’s success, the entrepreneurial young Choi branched out into the world of business. Over eight years working in the city and another 10 at as Managing Director of French Sole, the brand solely responsible for the ballet flat phenomenon, gave Choi the business savvy to match her expertise for all things shoe-related.
The same rapid success (commercially and in the eyes of the discerning fashion set) that Choi brought to French Sole has shaped her own shoe brand: Lucy Choi London.
Only four years after launching the label, Choi set up shop on London’s Connaught Street.
This charming, creamy-hued boutique is a ‘one stop shop’ for all shoe lovers, and the very layout of the stock is a reflection of Choi’s mixture of practicality and creativity. Carefully curated into different sections – day, evening, weekend, holiday, and high glamour – it takes all stress out of shopping.
