From sneak peeks behind the scenes on a glossy cover shoot to videos of new collections straight from the catwalk, thanks to Instagram anyone can take a look behind the previously closed doors of fashion. Watching the action unfold on screen is all well and good, but it's hard to beat the thrill of experiencing it in real life.

Sit FROW at LFW

A recent initiative from the British Fashion Council has seen the doors of London Fashion Week thrown open to the public in a new way.

When LFW returns to the capital in February it will include an immersive experience for the public, stuffed with catwalk shows, creative installations, industry-led panel talks and the discoveryLAB, 'an experiential space where fashion meets art, technology and music.' Designers Temperley London and De La Vali will be taking to the catwalks to show their SS20 collections. A favourite of Kate Middleton, Temperley London is renowned for its very British take on bohemia with a focus on refined gowns, beautiful prints and elegant embellishment. Offering a more sultry take is De La Vali, the Ibiza-founded brand that's taken the fashion world by storm since it launched in 2015. Expect dramatic looks, bold prints and plenty of attitude.

The catwalk shows will take place at the official London Fashion Week Hub, Store Studios X 180 The Strand, on 15 and 16 February. Each brand will stage shows throughout the day: Temperley London on Saturday 15 February, and De La Vali on Sunday 16 February. Show times are 10am; 12:30pm; 3pm and 5:30pm.

Ticket holders will also gain entrance to a #PositiveFashion Designer Exhibition, which will showcase 'the creative work of progressive designers explores the most compelling stories around sustainability, community and ethics.' They will also receive a complimentary drink and an exclusive LFW tote bag.

There'll also be a number of in-conversation events with key figures from within the fashion industry:

Saturday 15th February
Alice Temperley in conversation with Caroline Issa, 1pm - 3pm
Tommy Hilfiger and Lewis Hamilton in conversation with Dylan Jones, 3:30pm - 5:30pm

Sunday 16th February
Jana Haveman and Laura Castro in conversation with Jamie Winstone, 12:30pm - 2:30pm
Billy Porter, 3pm - 5pm
