Burberry x Vivienne Westwood Collection Reveal

British heritage meets punked out activism in what's set to be the collaboration of the year

Burberry x Vivienne Westwood Collection Reveal
Burberry announced its collaboration with Vivienne Westwood for a limited-edition collection of re-imagined British heritage pieces back in July of this year.

Today, the collection and campaign has dropped, and it's just as deliciously punk as we expected. At the heart of the collection is a t-shirt dedicated to halting climate change and deforestation, with a hand-stitched message from Vivienne Westwood. Otherwise, there's long socks, berets, mini skirts and a whole lot of attitude.

It's the first collaboration spear-headed by Riccardo Tisci – who was lauded as a beacon of inclusiveness and diversity on his appointment as Burberry's creative director – and will support the rainforest charity Cool Earth.

'Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something,' Tisci said in a statement announcing the union today. 'She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.'
