Mud Australia Porcelain, London

From the groaning tables of Han Dynasty emperors in the second century, down the Silk Road to noble parlours across Europe: our love affair with porcelain has been a long one. And it shows no sign of slowing down. Some of our favourite contemporary porcelain design comes from Australian brand Mud. We're in good company: you might recognise their pastel hues from Nigella Lawson's Simply Nigella.

Luckily for London, Mud's first ever European outpost has touched down on Porchester Place. Head over to W2, where you'll be able to choose between pieces eighty shapes in 18 different colours. We love the contrast between the slightly austere design, and the busts of cartoonish colour. Even if you just buy one statement piece, we reckon every kitchen could do with one. Our eyes are on the pistachio water jug.
