Christmas Concert, Temple Church Choir, Cadogan Hall

From early sacred music to Jingle Bells, there is something for all moods in a concert of music to usher in Christmas Eve

The boys and men of the Temple Church Choir will sing sacred and seasonal music at Cadogan Hall
Maybe it's the inspiring architecture of Temple Church in the heart of the Inns of Court, more likely it is the expert musicianship of its director, Roger Sayer, but either way, the Temple Church Choir is one of the finest "instruments" in the capital.

Wonderfully crafted music sung by outstanding boys and men will make this concert of music both sacred and secular a thoroughly festive affair.

At home base, Temple Church in the Inns of Court, Temple Church Choir is directed by Roger Sayer

The programme includes spiritual and mysterious pieces such as Poulenc's O Magnum Mysterium, and church music by Byrd, making a musical journey through to current favourites via Mendelssohn's splendid Weinachten.

But the choir also lets its hair down with frisky arrangements of All I Want for Christmas, Jingle Bells, The Snowman, I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas and Bob Chilcott's merry version of 12 days of Christmas.

Hard to believe there won't be something for the audience to sing too....
