Howards End, BFI
Howard’s End, the film that garnered Emma Thompson her first Academy Award, hits the silver screen again with a new restoration at BFI Southbank. Culture Whisper members are invited to claim one of our ten pairs of tickets for the screening on Wednesday 9 August.

E.M. Forster’s timeless tale of Edwardian intrigue and emotion will be screened at the Institute for a limited time. The restoration celebrates the masterful direction of James Ivory, the film’s lavish sets, and its opulent costumes. A star-studded cast, including Helena Bonham-Carter and Vanessa Redgrave, bring to life the story of Margaret and Helen Schlegel, two sisters who find fame and ruin among the Edwardian elite.

Elegant, entertaining, and exquisitely acted, Howard’s End is worth seeing on the big screen.
