The new scent ingredient everyone is talking about

Fleur de Sel or SALT!

SALTY SUMMER SCENTS
What's the latest ingredient setting your fragrance apart? Fleur de Sel, or 'salt' that favourite table condiment that makes EVERYTHING taste better is also being sprinkled into our scents formulations and are amongst the best new fragrances of 2019.

Fragrance Archivist, James Craven at Les Senteurs is not surprised: "As we learn more and more about the senses we find out that the tongue plays far more of a role in smelling than the nose. Some scientists now estimate the tongue plays up to 70% of the 'smelling' function - so it makes total sense to explore a type of scent you taste!"

Romano Ricci, Founder and Artistic Director of Juliette has a Gun agrees, he's just launched 'Vanilla Vibes', and says: "I have wanted to work with vanilla for some time. Not being a huge fan of sweet notes, I needed to find a twist. I chose sea salt. This transports the vanilla into a mineral dimension. Far from being overwhelming, the vanilla becomes suddenly more atmospheric, more elegant".

Don’t think you’ll find your own brine-y bouquet? Well, it can run the gamut from the aquatic freshness of the sea, to mineral florals, and the salty, sexiness of sweaty skin. Read on to find the best in saline solutions for summer…
