The July Edit

By Eleonore Dresch on 5/7/2021

Summer Solstice has come and gone, but London's blue skies have been missing in action.

And whilst we daydream of lounging on Mediterranean shores, here's how to attain a semblance of a holiday mentality in London. A good summer read, a well-mixed Negroni, a scent of the Riviera, escapism to Cannes via film, a fun party and plenty of cultural inspiration.

IN A PARTY MOOD

IN A PARTY MOOD

If all goes well we should be able to party from July 19th.

I went last night to the uber-cool Laylow on Golborne road, a restaurant and live music venue.

Spread over four floors of a grand Victorian building - the interior was partly redesigned by Bella Freud - at the foot of London’s Trellick Tower, Laylow is exactly the sort of spot we all need right now.

Great music, good food, a bit of dancing. The basement music spot is open to everyone and it is good to know that Laylow is preparing for a summer of entertaining with a series of gigs, events, and delicious meals.
