There is much fun to be had with Opera Holland Park outside of its main summer season.

OperaUNITY introduces small children to opera, with seasonally themed interactive workshops. Blending music, movement, drama and storytelling, the workshops are run on Zoom by singer and theatre-maker Fiona Williams.

Each workshop is aimed at families with babies and children up to age five, and can also be enjoyed by those with special educational needs. The sessions go out once a month, and a week after streaming are avvailable on demand via YouTube, Facebook and IGTV.

A Pancake Party is first on the menu, with activities inspired by Shrove Tuesday traditions ( Fri 19 Feb, 10AM).

With Easter in view, Bouncing Bunnies join the party next (Fri 12 Mar, 10AM), and the whole family will welcome Spring (Fri 16 April, 10AM).

Get ready for Maypole Dancing (Fri 14 May, 10AM), before learning a trick or two from Clever Little Fox (Fri 11 June, 10AM).

The young musicians will have worked very hard by July, so it's farewell for a while with Summer Holiday (Fri 9 July, 10AM).

Opera comes naturally to tiny children, who put up no artificial barriers between art forms. So sing and dance and play along with them – and fingers crossed for the main Opera Holland Park 2021 season too...
