Staycation Spots With Availability this Summer

By Lucy Brooks on 20/7/2022

Save yourself the stress of cancelled flights, rising travel costs and airport chaos with a UK staycation. And it's not too late to book. We round up the loveliest holiday homes that still have space this summer, from rural hideaways and historic homes, to seafront views and bougie high streets.

Elephant's Breath, West Wittering

Elephant's Breath, West Wittering

Just a five minute walk from postcard-perfect beaches of West Wittering, Elephant's Breath makes seaside days a breeze. There's no need to lug your kit or stress over picnics - the beach cafe and local gastro pub are around the corner too. Combining a modern, minimalist aesthetic with luxurious touches (we love the freestanding bath tub in the master bedroom), it's the ultimate in comfort and ease. The open plan living area and enclosed garden offer plenty of space for families to spread out and chill out.

The large kitchen is designed with hosting in mind, featuring an Aga, an electric oven, a gas hob, all the cooking equipment for large groups, and even a ready supply of fresh herbs to be picked just outside. Situated in South Norfolk, The Hobart Spring is a great base for trips to the beach or the Norfolk Broads. But with so much architecture and history to explore, the house is also a destination in itself.
