There's no shortage of immersive experiences for children in London – from the Little Angel Theatre's upcoming environmental production Junk to an exhibition exploring the future of immersive books at Discover Children's Story Centre.

Founded 20 years ago by ex-teacher Peter Higgin, theatre company Punchdrunk has pioineered immersive theatre as we know it.

Tickets to Punchdrunk's continuously cutting-edge shows are one hot commodity, and it's easy to see why. Their last production, Kabeiroi, was a six-hour trailblazing trek for two across London inspired by Aeschylus's lost play. Earlier piece The Drowned Man involved an installation set over three storeys in Paddington's former Royal Mail sorting office from 2013-14.

Punchdrunk is back in town with Small Wonders, a brand new show for families. Venture inside Nanny Lacey's flat to explore the wonders of her world: her homemade collection of miniatures. Each touching, tiny tableau depicts a memory she shares with her daughter, Bella. The flat unfolds like a beautiful, 3-D photo album, curated around stories and treasured moments in time.

But times are changing, and Nanny Lacey has started to forget things. Soon, she'll move into a care home. But before she goes, there's one final miniature to share – and one last story to tell. Join Bella and Nanny Lacey in the fantastical Tottenham flat, and immerse yourself in a collection of other worlds through this magical production.

Recommended for children age 5 – 11 and their families
