Best pumpkin patches near London
Pumpkin season is upon us: we’re dressing like pumpkins (well, at least our kids are), turning them into soups and pies and carving them for Halloween.
But trust us: while anyone can go grab a pumpkin from the shop floor at ASDA, nothing beats an actual pumpkin-picking pumpkin patch experience. In addition to the glorious smiles on your childrens' faces and teaching them that crucial life lesson of where food actually comes from, it will – bonus – also tire the kids out.
There are plenty of fabulous farms within an hour’s drive of London that offer kids (and their parents) a pick-your-own experience, often with other veg available, as well as cafés, playgrounds and half-term activities on-site.
So get your wellies, grab a wheelbarrow and prepare to win parent of the year. Just remember: while pumpkin picking is most definitely a family affair, you’ll need to leave Fido and Fifi at home (for health and safety reasons).
