Orée, French bakery

Orée is quite frankly the place to buy artisan French bakes. This gorgeous West London mini chain is heaven in the form of bread, viennoiserie and patisserie. The bread is baked daily in open boulangerie kitchens using specialist French flours that are exclusive to Orée, plus there are wholemeal, buckwheat and gluten-free options, too.

The King's Road branch hosts afternoon baking classes, with no more than five places available, so that you can learn the tricks of the trade. Light breakfasts and lunches are served in the chic cafés, which are decorated beautifully in pale blue and gold. Orée has a dedicated following among West London's French residents – a sure-fire indication of its authenticity.
