In her list of the best raw food restaurants in London, Deliciously Ella says: ‘This is the oldest raw food place in London (I think!). It has great food and a lovely atmosphere. It can be a little too ‘hippy’ for some people with its communal tables, but I love it. They make an especially awesome raw pizza, falafels and insane desserts like raw banoffee pie and chocolate cake.’
Vegan restaurant Covent Garden
‘Orgasmic food’, ‘organic produce’, ‘juicy living’ and ‘wild fun’ are among the many tag lines Wild Food Cafe uses to describe itself. Here in Covent Garden, surrounded by busy lives and London fog, a spiritual, healthy living lifestyle collides with good, honestly made vegan and vegetarian food that feels not unlike sitting down in the pages of a 1960s hippie self-help book.
They describe themselves as an ‘oasis in the centre of a sprawling metropolis’, and the live up to the description – serving up sublime food, creatively made to feed both body and soul.
Raw food menu
Wild Food Café focus on raw-centric food, using wild, fresh, colourful ingredients from organic producers that aim to improve health and calm moral conscience. The chefs and course leaders believe in wellbeing and positively impacting the world around them. And raw food enthusiasts can be a part of the movement all for the price of one wholesome raw veggie burger, designed to please tummies with gluten and soya-free ingredients such as olives, shiitake mushrooms, dulse and butternut squash.
Wild Food Café blog
For those gastronomes who come away inspired by the Café's nutrient-dense cuisine, the Wild Food Cafe also has a hugely successful blog, jam-packed with raw food ideas to continue the trend at home. But don’t pass up the opportunity pay the cafe a visit – you might discover your true calling in life as a yoga teacher.
