The Birkin of Beauty? Hermès is to up the ante in premium skincare and cosmetics
Hermès CEO Axel Dumas told the Business of Fashion, 'It’s quite exciting. It’s a new activity, with all the risks that involves, so we will deploy it progressively, initially in our own stores mainly, in a limited distribution so that we can learn.' The move means that Hermès will now cover the 'three axes' of skincare, makeup and fragrance.
What's more, the new ranges will be entirely plastic-free, to accomadate the discerning, modern beauty customer.
