UK/Raine: Saatchi Gallery's Competition

Last year, the Saatchi gallery mounted a show of contemporary Ukrainian art, Premonition: Ukrainian Art Now. The show was a bid to investigate how native young artists were responding to the most turbulent years anyone could remember. In times of civil unrest, art becomes a tool for dissent, and the exhibition was a fraught but sturdy call for change.

Building on the success of Premonition, the Saatchi gallery have announced UK/Raine, an exhibition of the work of thirty emerging young artists from the UK and Ukraine. An international panel of judges will select a winner from each media.

UK/Raine Highlights
