Fig-2, ICA Studio

The ICA Studio, London is launching the groundbreaking new project, fig-2, which revives curator Mark Francis and White Cube’s Jay Jopling’s original fig-1 from back in 2001. With 50 exhibitions that change every week, the ICA will certainly be keeping the London contemporary art scene on its toes. Why was fig-1 important?
Fig-1 is remembered for its innovative approach to curating contemporary artists in the capital, presenting projects by big-names like Jeremy Deller, Richard Hamilton, Peter Doig and Gilbert and George. This second installment promises to be just as stimulating; with established and emerging names from contemporary art, architecture, design, fashion, film, literature and performance.

Look out for Laura Eldret who you might have seen at South London Gallery and Camden Arts Centre. Her new immersive installation will develop throughout the year, before returning to the ICA Studio space for the final week of fig-2 in December.
