Elvis at The O2: The Exhibition of His Life

We’re all shook up by this O2 exhibition 2014 charting the rise of The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley

Elvis at The O2, 12th December 2014 - 31st August 2015
Testament to his enduring reputation as the ‘King’ of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Europe’s largest ever retrospective of Elvis Presley’s life arrives this December in the appropriately palatial O2 arena London.
A unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of Graceland from the other side of the Atlantic, organizers seem to be displaying as much memorabilia as feasibly possible– much of which has never even been displayed to the public in Memphis.
Amongst the eclectic array of objects on show are the pool table Elvis played on with The Beatles, the iconic 1960 MG Roadster from the film ‘Blue Hawaii’, and his wallet and personal letters.
Elvis’s spirited, sexually provocative onstage persona is legendary, but this show aims to offer visitors a more intimate portrait. Charting his journey from humble beginnings through to his military service, this exhibition shows the mania of international fame as just one aspect of a complicated character.
A true icon of the 20th century, Elvis’s popularity spanned generational and racial divides. So if you love a cheeky dance to Elvis’ Jailhouse Rock or Hound Dog, you’ll enjoy this expansive new exhibition in London for its fantastically thorough look at the life of a legendary performer.
